Detailed Storyboard

The opening shot of the video, is going to have Nadir the main actor holding up a placard with the writing "Life" on it. It is an Establishing Shot as the video has just started. The use of the placard, is something I have done to create a distinction between lip-synching and using another method in order to engage the audience.
The next shot, is going to be a Close Up shot, in the tunnel with Nadir having his headphones on. The shot will show the tunnel and the background behind him, before zooming into the top half of his body. Mainly his face, this will be done using lip-synching.
Again Shot number 3, is a Close Up shot, but in this shot I have changed locations again and have swapped the camera so it is facing the opposite way so it is looking towards the carpark. The point of this shot is to capture lip-syncing and use and create emphasis around Nadir's face.
Shot number 4, is an extreme close up shot and is a carry on from the previous shot. It is an Extreme close up shot, as I am zooming into Nadir as he is lip-syncing the lyrics of the song. Again only the top half of Nadir will be seen.
This shot is a long shot of Nadir sitting on the bullards, outside the tunnel, this shot is a long shot as I am using this shot in order to use a variety of different camera angles aswell as showing the audience the tunnel and the people walking behind him.
This shot is an Extreme close up of Nadir turning his head towards the oncoming people. Again this shot is filmed with him sitting on the bullard, and is aimed to show that he is looking at what is coming on the other side. There may or may not be lip-syncing involved in this shot, I will decide when I come to edit the final piece.
This shot is under the arches, and it shows Me and Nadir walking towards each other before making a 'deal' happen. The reason it is a Mid-shot is so the audience can see what is happening.
The previous shot, is then followed up by a Mid/Close up shot of the 'deal'. This places further emphasis on what is actually happening, as well as showing both characters involved.
From the midshot to the close up shot under the arches, there is going to be a piece of Montage editing in which I include an Extreme Close Up of a baseball hat. I have did this to stop the video just being all about Nadir, and the Baseball cap is something that can be related to the 'Hip Hop' genre.
There is then a Mid Shot of Nadir lipsyncing in an alleyway. The Midshot is designed to show us most of his body.
The Midshot is then further carried on into the next shot, and in this we see the different misc-en-scene behind him.
From the mid-shot, I am hoping to then cut into an Extreme Close Up shot of Nadir with his headphones on and the baseball cap on his head lip-syncing directly into the camera.
Again the Extreme Close Up is continued and I anticipate that it will last for approximately 5-10 seconds.
This is then closely followed by a Close-Up shot of Nadir, I aim to have him lip-syncing in this shot.
There is then a Close-up of Nadir's trainers, before panning up to see the rest of him,
The Long-Shot I am hoping to use in this shot, aims again to show the misc-en-scene as well as using lip-syncing in the shot.
I then am going to cut to an Extreme Close Up shot of Nadir doing the 'P' sign which is commonly used in Peckham and in other Giggs' music videos. This also what the audience come to expect of Giggs' music videos.
There is then a Point of View Shot (P.O.V), of Nadir looking at into the distance of Windsor. I aiming to use a different shot in this frame, and showing the audience another view.
The next shot, I am hoping to film infront of a Van. There are often Securicor vans that pass through Windsor and I am hoping to get Nadir infront of one of these vans, and use a Mid-Shot to frame it. The fact these vans have flashing white and blue lights on them, also link connotations to the police who are heavily unfavoured by the 'Grime/Hip Hop' community. Whilst many rappers have also used police vans, or something simmiliar in the videos, to show their discontent for the police.
The next shot is a Long Shot, I will leave the camera on and let it record what happens. I aim to leave the camera there for approximatelt 5-10mins. I aim to capture people walking past the busiest part of Windsor. Then in the Editing process, I endeavour to use an effect in order to speed this up. The reason I have filmed this, is to show an aspect of life as lots of people from all ethnicites and backgrounds will be walking past.
After the shot of people walking past, I am then going to use a Mid-Shot of Nadir lip-syncing directly into the camera. The misc-en-scene of this frame will be on the riverside front, with the trees behind it. This is one of the shots I aim to use that I believe, will juxtapose the typical codes and conventions of a Hip-Hop music video.
This will then be a Mid/Side on Shot of Nadir walking through an alleyway. His full body will hopefully be used in this shot.
There will then be an edit used, before a Close Up shot of Nadir possibly lip-syncing.
This shot is the same as the previous shot but it is going to be filmed in a different location, with Nadir wearing different clothes on.
In the shot, I will zoom the camera out and have him looking towards the side, so the street posting is visible.
The next shot is a midshot, which cuts back to the Riverside view of Windsor, this again is another example of my video juxstaposing the typical codes and conventions of a Hip-Hop music video.
There is another Mid-Shot of Nadir this time he is going to be standing in the lift. The point of this is to show the audience where he is, and that again the misc-en-scene has changed.
This is then followed up, and changed into a Close Up shot. The transition from the Mid-Shot to the Close-Up shot, other than showing more detail also enables me to show him lip-syncing.
I am then going to use this shot to come back into the lift, and give a Mid/Close Up of the Lift doors opening and closing and having Nadir come in and out of them. I am going to try and use this shot from inside and outside of the lift, to vary the shot, and see the difference between the two.
The next shot, is a Montage Edit which is a Close Up Shot of Nadir's watch. This is simply a piece of Montage Editing.
I then plan to use an Over The Shoulder Shot (O.T.S.) of Nadir looking over the alleyway. The alleyway plays a pivotal part in this video, and having an alleyway seperates it from a Niche mainstream Pop music video.
This is then followed by a Mid Shot of Nadir walking in towards the camera, from the tunnel.
I am then going to follow that up by having a Close Up of Nadir lip-syncing into the camera. The Close up shot I use in this frame will mostly show his face, and not much of his body.
There will then be a cut back to the people that I had previously filmed walking past, showing another aspect of Life, and the audience getting a break from constantly seeing Nadir. In doing this I am stopping my music video from being too one dimensional.
The next shot is a Mid-Shot looking out towards the Riverfront, this is going to be shot at night. I am hoping that street lighting will be on when I go to film there, as this will make the filming process easier. I am filming this scene at night as it will fit with the 'dark' theme of the music video.
After an edit from the last shot, there will then be a a Close Up shot of Nadir looking into the camera, with the same backdrop of the Riverside.
This will then be cut to a Side Shot of Nadir infront of the trees. These shots all juxstapose the typical codes and conventions of a normal hip-hop music video.
From the last shot, I will then have Nadir sitting on a bench. The Long shot will be used in this frame to emphasise the location, has changed and thus showing the audience the change in Misc-en-scene. I am yet to decide whether to film this shot, in the High street area of the town, or whether to film it near the river.
From that shot, I will then move the video into a Close Up shot of Nadir lip syncing. This may possibly take place on the Riverside front or under the arches. Depending on which fits the lyrics in that part of the song better.
There is then a Close-Up shot of Nadir lip syncing this will be shot under the tunnel which is very well lit.
This shot could be classified as another 'Montage Edit', and will shot a Mid-Shot which is then zoomed into a Close Up shot of a bandana. The bandanas are often typically found in Hip-Hop music videos.
This shot is a Side/ Long Shot of Nadir sitting on the bullards outside the tunnel.
Depending on the previous shot this will be either a side shot, or a Mid-Shot of Nadir.
There is then a Mid-Shot of Nadir in the town centre, he is lip syncing into the camera in this shot aswell as doing other actions.
The last shot will be a Close Up shot of Nadir outside the tunnel, before finishing the video by fading it out.

Above is the detailed storyboard, this what I will film my shots from and how I visualise them on the sotryboard shall be how they appear in the camera, and in the final piece.
